i started the project at the end of december, and put this mirror up at #shakeshack on new year’s eve. over 1,000 people have taken pictures, mostly all in the first few months with only a few staying up past the first couple of weeks. this was the very last mirror still up, staying on the outside of the building for 10 months, and i just happened to pass by it tonight. the idea for this piece was what brought me to new york. when i was living in my art studio in a winter without heat, with no job, this was the only motivation i had. lately i’ve felt like i haven’t lived up to my expectations and haven’t taken as many opportunities as i’d hoped. seeing this was a great reminder about why i came here. so after i took this picture, i also took down the mirror. it’s time for things to change. i’ve got a new project in the works. also, say hello to @jamievalinoti. by iamrobbiejones http://ift.tt/1pIzpAP
